Vans Warps The Checkerboard For This Intense Pack Of Slip-Ons And Authentics

Vans‘ beloved checkerboard pattern — whether at the hands of collaborators or the in-house design team — has been treated to a number of different modifications since its inception. And with its potential seemingly exhausted, the brand is finally revisiting some past takes as they warp the print on both Vault quality Slip-Ons and Authentics.

Somewhat more involved, the latter adds a bit more dimension and variety in terms of its graphical presentation. The forefoot dresses up in a distinct color, forming a more original version of the motif though with additional branding sparsely placed within the blank space. Orange, purple, and neon green fills the square adjacent while the rest of the construction uses reds, blues, and blacks to accent the warped backdrop of geometry. In departure, the Slip-On near solely makes use of the distorted variation — it simply balances it out with a neutral base that spreads the “VANS” text out in seldom.

Grab a detailed look at everything mentioned right here, and though they’re scheduled to release July 5th according to Billys Tokyo, we may have to wait a bit longer to see them arrive in the states.

In unrelated news, the Nike Space Hippie 01 lands July 3rd.
