Kevin Durant‘s 2019-20 NBA season ended before it even started due to an Achilles injury during Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals. Yet, the 31-year-old Brooklyn Nets forward has remained in the spotlight through social media engagement, business successes of his Thirty Five Ventures investment vehicle, and Nike KD 13 signature sneaker, which has recently surfaced in a lifestyle-friendly arrangement.
While previous pairs of KD’s 13th signature sneaker with The Swoosh have featured loud, all-over prints, they’ve done so atop made-for-basketball materials. On the silhouette’s forthcoming iteration, ripstop nylon uppers receive a bleached pattern from forefoot to heel and are accompanied by plaid fabrics across the tongue and collar. Lateral Swooshes and sole units are predominantly clad in a complementary black, though they’re both accompanied by faint neon green accents. Branding at the medial profile and heel indulge in a spray-painted finish, whereas it sports a high fashion-reminiscent arrangement on the tongue.
