The Air Jordan 1 Mid‘s references often lean more into sportswear than anything, borrowing the signature colors of any team on the brand’s radar. Now, after a series of UNION LA inspired takes, the silhouette is opting for the loud green and orange of Oakland Athletic’s timeless flag. Purely evocative in color and color alone, the pair forgoes any overt insignia or the like; rather, the upper is sprawled with accents of the two aforementioned tones. Green dresses the collar in dark, grass-like suede with matching complements adorned along the entire tread. The heel wrap and Wings, presented as a makeshift pair almost, then depart by bright orange, accenting the white leathers that stitch down nearby. Swooshes loop passed in black, matching the fabric of the toe cap, tongue, and the eye stay just underneath. Finished with bold Jumpman logos and contrast stitch, the pair is equipped to release soon on Nike.com.
