Air Jordan 7 Retro “China” Revealed

Air Jordan 7 Retro “China” Revealed

Considered a large part of the Jordan Brand fan base, Greater China — whether through overt celebration or PEs with esteemed athlete Guo Ailun — has been honored more times than one can count, often owning many of the year’s best exclusives alongside. And now, as COVID-19 continues to look towards the better, the region is seeing to yet another eclectic staple: the Air Jordan 7 Retro “Greater China.”

While loosely informed by classic colorways, the pair quickly takes liberties with its subtler features, delivering a strong, heritage-influenced use of texture, print, and pattern. Overlays, which are coated in unassuming white finish, are etched with scales as a dragon slithers atop in illusory fashion. The black base, matted to improve contrast, is treated similarly, though the figure is much more present as it shines in a noticeable gloss. Auspicious hits of red and gold accent the heel — its Jumpman insignia, special tongue stamp, collar — as well as the angular molds planted onto the midsole. Medial sides, in distinct departure, then finish with a much bolder, more vibrant arrangement of traditionally-inspired artwork.

Grab a detailed look at these here and sit tight for further word on its Nike.com release.
