Amsterdam’s Patta Revisits The Mizuno Sky Medal On August 15th

Mizuno is continuing its Kazoku program with the help of Amsterdam-based Patta, which has reworked the Sky Medal once again.

As was demonstrated back in August 2018, Patta is part of the Japanese-institution’s “extended family”. For its latest collaboration, the European brand is bringing a roadrunner-inspired colorway to the ’90s-silhouette. Textile bases set the stage for black suede overlays given their off white makeup. Orange accents join the mix near the upper eyestays and across the perforated leather tongue. Mizuno’s iconic Runbird logo at the profiles indulges in a rich brown leather construction; embroidered “Patta” branding on the tongue also dons the muted hue. Underfoot, sole units keep things simple while simultaneously nodding to the pair’s avifaunal theme as they boast a cream palette just as a roadrunner’s legs do.

Patta’s next Sky Medal launches at the brand’s Amsterdam, Milan, and London locations, as well as Patta.nl on August 15th. In the meantime, enjoy a closer look at the sneakers here below.

For more collaborations inspired by nature, check out the adidas ZX 5000 Joshua Tree arriving on August 21st.
