Star Wars’ Boba Fett Comes To Sneaker Form With The adidas Top Ten Hi

Star Wars and adidas continue celebrating the 40th Anniversary of “The Empire Strikes Back” with a Top Ten Hi inspired by Boba Fett.

Unlike previously-seen pairs from this partnership, which include a Stan Smith for Luke Skywalker and NMD R1 V2 for Lando Calrissian, the latest collaborative sneaker embodies its muse. For starters, the once-basketball-icon covers its smooth leather in a combination of “Trace Green” and “Scarlet” borrowed from the bounty hunter’s custom Mandalorian armor. Detailing along the profiles also mimic said armor’s battle-scars, but are undoubtedly overshadowed by the brown attachable pocket on the lateral ankle; the inside flap quotes the helmed human: “You can run, but you’ll only die tired.” Elsewhere, “BOBA” branding appears on the tongue label and a graphic depicting Boba Fett next to Darth Vader’s troopers animates the insoles. A commemorative poster and swappable lace dubraes also come included in the special, action-figure-box-like packaging. This Top Ten Hi is launching on September 24th; see the official images and purchase links below.
