Bodega Closes Out New Balance 997S Series With “Better Days”

Bodega Closes Out New Balance 997S Series With “Better Days”

Bodega and New Balance are following up their highly-praised X-Racer Trail collaboration with the more casual-oriented 997S “Better Days”.

The third joint-effort on the sporty silhouette, the forthcoming release follows “No Days Off” and “No Bad Days” versions from April and September 2019, respectively. Perhaps too appropriate for 2020, the latest option features a much more vibrant palette than its counterparts. As the model belongs to New Balance, grey makes an appearance across the forefoot and tooling, but it’s overshadowed by (ostensibly) sunrise-inspired accents. Midfoot overlays and their direct cushioning indulge in a tan hue, with the former also boasting a bright yellow “N” logo. The pebbled tongue and back underlay – a detail missing from the first 997S collaboration – ups the eye-catching ante with its coral-reminiscent arrangement. Heel support trades black and purple for a rich brown, textured build: “S” and lining revel in a soft purplish tone.

Directly underfoot, ABZORB cushioning deviates from the sportier-997‘s color scheme with a punchy neon green enclosed in a charcoal heel mold. Tread rounds of the pair in the fan-favorite gum brown.

Full release details are still unknown, but that’s likely to change as we inch closer to the official beginning of fall. Until then, stay tuned for updates.
