Nike’s D/MS/X Brings 3M Materials To The Air Force 1 React

NIKE, Inc.’s autumn and winter-related line-up has historically made use of GORE-TEX and its own proprietary technologies. For an upcoming Nike Air Force 1 React, however, the North American sportswear giant has tapped 3M for its renowned Thinsulate™ and Scotchlite™ solutions.

As with a previously-surfaced React Vision, this reworked Air Force 1 features a predominantly “Black” color palette. A high-vis yellow interrupts the scheme at the heel’s profiles, which are complemented by 3M’s reflective material; spines and upper eye-stays also boast Scotchlite™ construction. Detailing on the laces and exaggerated “NIKE AIR” branding on the tongue indulge in an equally-bold “Volt” color, which also appeared on the aforementioned D/MS/X silhouette. Sole units forgo the overwhelmingly dark arrangement in favor of a mostly-white composition. “nike react” branding on the lateral side rounds out the collaboration with its “Black” hue.

A release date is still unknown, but this Air Force 1 Low co-created with 3M is likely to arrive to Nike.com between fall and winter. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair here below.

For more from the Swoosh, the Dunk Low Community Garden launches on September 10th.
