Jordan And Converse Converge On The “Why Not?” Pack, Recognizing Russell Westbrook’s Gritty Game

Russell Westbrook’s approach to the game can be described with words like gritty, unrelenting, and vicious. The triple-double machine still attacks the rim like it owes him money, barely missing a step after a dozen seasons in the league. In honor of its athlete, Jordan Brand and tapped Converse for a two-pair pack that recognizes Westbrook’s style of play on his two favorite silhouettes – the Air Jordan 16 and Converse Chuck 70. Both shoes are inspired by the public hoops proving grouds – the street-ball courts across inner cities that have bred the elite stars of the game. The Air Jordan 16, for example, features chain-link detailing on the leather shroud – a nod to the chain nets. The Chuck 70 is covered in cracked white leather, mimicking the worn paint on the concrete.

Additionally, there’s a fashionable edge as both shoes are built with a range of materials such as leather and satin. The choice of materials draws back to roll-styled leather jackets that Westbrook enjoys wearing.

The Jordan x Converse “Why Not?” Pack will release on October 2nd on SNKRS and SNEAKRS.
