A 90s Friendly Black/White Colorway Is Coming Soon To The Nike React Frenzy

A 90s Friendly Black/White Colorway Is Coming Soon To The Nike React Frenzy

NIKE, Inc. hasn’t shied away from sharing the inspiration behind some of its most iconic silhouettes. Throughout its subsidiaries and categories, the North American sportswear behemoth seems to always find its way to the “Land of the Rising Sun.” Its latest silhouette – the Nike React Frenzy – blends Japanese workwear with performance-basketball DNA for an arrangement perfect for off-court expression.

At a glance, the newest proposal from Nike Sportswear’s THE10TH seems transplanted from the ’90s, as its aggressive tooling, two-tone color-blocking and textured upper are reminiscent of the Diamond Turf and Air Jordan 13. Breathable, asymmetrical top-halves divvy up a “White/Black” palette, while swoosh logos on the tongue pull tab and a sole lace loop inject “Volt” flair into the mix. The inner bootie further indulges in a monochromatic scheme, but features a pattern of miniature “+”; spines sport the motif in larger size. Underfoot, React foam adds lifestyle-comfort to the hoops-inspired model.

Elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella, the Nike Challenger, a ’70s pioneer, will be included in the upcoming “Peace, Love and Basketball” collection.
