After its expansive series of reveals earlier in the month, Pharrell‘s adidas NMD Hu is set to return in a bright blue colorway, one that switches up its toe box’s text for South African inspiration.
Straightforward in its design, the pair doesn’t deviate far from the template revealed prior. Everything from the upper to the BOOST cushioning is dyed in a bright cool tone, creating a monochromatic aesthetic stopped only by the aforementioned type and the lining’s dark black outline at the collar. Overlaid cages and heel tabs do contrast in lighter shade though only as a means of complement. Then, the forefoot is embellished with a bold-faced “Uluntu” which is said to translate to “Humanity,” a term on theme as far as the artist’s collaborations go.
