Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu Appears In Orange

Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu Appears In Orange

Pharrell Williams and adidas have been churning out product all year, but the tail-end of 2020 has seen their partnership ostensibly turn up the dial on productivity as several apparel and footwear proposals have recently emerged. The latter, which the Virginia-native is most known for, has gained a dozen new members this month, with the latest entry arriving in the form of an orange NMD Hu.

Unlike an “Extra Eye” duo from earlier this month, the forthcoming pair opts for a rather tonal arrangement. Primeknit uppers and their BOOST cushioning underfoot indulge in a rich citrus hue, while complementing accents – TPU plugs, laces, embroidery – boast various shades of the titular color. As with all of Williams’ NMD-variants, the sneakers’ top-half features a word or phrase meant to serve as a mantra or reminder that we are all one human race; as with a previously-seen cyan iteration, this option features “ULUNTU” text from forefoot to tongue. According to a quick Internet search, the word translates to “people” from siNdebele, the main local language of Western Zimbabwe.

Enjoy a first look at the NMD Hu here below, as you wait for pairs to arrive to adidas.com before the year ends.

Elsewhere under the Three Stripes umbrella, the Yeezy 350 Carbon launches globally on October 2nd.
