The Original “USA” Colorway Of The Nike Air Max Tailwind V Is Returning

Perhaps because the Olympics were supposed to go down this year, Nike’s output of USA-themed footwear was oft-seen through their various silhouettes whether it be through basketball variations of the Kyrie 6 and KD 13, or classic styles such as the return of the patriotic Air Max Triax 96. With a few months left to go in the year, the Swoosh team has plans to extend this run even further by retro-ing an entry from the year 2000: the Air Max Tailwind V “USA”.

Executed in such a way that matches up with the American flag, the low-slung silhouette douses its mesh side panels with navy blue backgrounds, and pairs this with that of clean white tongues, throats, and heels, as well as subtle red accents distributed to the Swoosh outlines, and “Max Air” branded hits. Down below, the sole piece which features a trio of exposed Air units pairs together white midsoles with jet black tread. These are available now in Nike Korea, but find these releasing stateside via Nike.com and select retailers in the coming weeks.

For other news, an Air Jordan 1 Low University Blue colorway has been unveiled.
