The Nike Air Max 97 Appears In A Women’s “University Red” Colorway

After a “Light Bone” and Pendleton-constructed departure, the Nike Air Max 97 is returning to basics with its latest women’s colorway. Hued in monochromatic fashion, the pair strikes a balance between dark neutrals and its upper’s bold “University Red” hues.

The upper features the color in spades, creating a scheme that loosely reminds of the Triple Red trends that made headway years prior. Leather overlays, mesh unders, and the various accents laid over top all resemble one another with the same pigment, though certain elements contrast in marginally darker variation. Soles, then, add a fair bit of neutrals as the midsole and tread ground in white and black, respectively; the cushioning placed in parallel, however, complements the aforementioned with matching internals.

In other news, a Beige Nike Killshot OG helps further along the classic model’s return.
