adidas Consortium Dresses The Rod Laver In Four Premium Leather Options

adidas Consortium Dresses The Rod Laver In Four Premium Leather Options

As timeless and iconic a classic as any in the flagship adidas Originals roster, the Rod Laver silhouette has been serving up looks for more than a couple decades now, its general aesthetic a pleasant echo of vintage design. With the model’s latest Consortium capsule, the brand is beginning to experiment with fabrication as they’ve applied a number of different materials to the same versatile colorway.

At its most simple, the upper is kept smooth and visually premium, untreated and instantly familiar throughout its entire white leather. Navy accents dress the tread as well as the heel tab, while the sole reminds of older pairs in its yellowed finish. The tongue logo, whose portrait depicts Rod Laver himself. is then treated to a bronze wrap, adding yet another luxurious detail to an otherwise minimal kit. And while most will prefer such a universal variant, there’s sure to be those interested in the eccentric assortment adjacent — a trio that completely changes up most of the construction with cracked, ostrich, and python leathers.

Grab a look at the gradient of texture below and find them at select retailers and likely adidas.com on October 16th.
