The adidas ZX 5000 Visits The University Of Miami As Part Of A-ZX Series

As part of its A-ZX Series, adidas has tapped global collaborators the likes of Juventus F.C. and LEGO for special editions of some of its most beloved ZX silhouettes. For its next stop, the Three Stripes has landed in South Florida to collaborate on a ZX 5000 with the University of Miami.

Predominantly clad in white patent leather and ballistic nylon, uppers on this ’80s trainer set the stage for the “U’s” iconic color scheme. Co-branded lace jewel, sockliners and tongue tabs nod to the partnership between German sportswear behemoth and storied North American college, but the most latter area features the school’s signature orange and green hues. Elsewhere, debossed “U” logos on the heels are complemented by an electroplated TPU heel counter that not only delivers more of the Miami institution’s palette, but also shimmering flair. Sole units mostly indulge in an all-white arrangement, but Torsion bars boast a gold finish, while a colored “U” logo appears near the heel.

Enjoy a closer look at this ZX 5000 here below, and find pairs at adidas.com on November 6th for $140 USD.
