New Balance To Re-issue The 480 Model With The Help Of Kawhi Leonard And JOLLY RANCHER

New Balance To Re-issue The 480 Model With The Help Of Kawhi Leonard And JOLLY RANCHER

Following a well-received revival of one of its archival basketball models with the help of Aimé Leon Dore, New Balance is turning to Kawhi Leonard and his favorite childhood candy, JOLLY RANCHER, to bring another 1980s silhouette to the 21st century: the New Balance 480.

Unlike the aforementioned collaboration, the forthcoming pair sheds any vintage sensibilities in favor of a clean arrangement perfect for Halloween. Premium, natural leather is clad in plain “White,” while profile “N” logos are outlined with “Blue Raspberry” flair. Besides the red “NEW BALANCE” text on the heel, the only other non-“White” component on the retro sneaker’s upper is the detailing on the tongue: a fruit gang of characters are depicted making Leonard’s ever-memeable deadpan expression. Sole units differ from their counterpart up top as their tread indulges in four hues nodding to JOLLY RANCHER’s various flavors, from “Watermelon” to “Green Apple.”

Enjoy another look at the eye-catching 480 here below, and find pairs arriving to NewBalance.com on October 31st.

For more from the Boston-based brand, check out the New Balance 327 by Levi’s arriving on November 10th.
