This Kid’s-Exclusive Nike Zoom Freak 2 Arrives In “University Red” And “Glacier Ice”

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks fell short of their own expectations in the 2019-20 NBA Playoffs, the 25-year-old still boasts one of the more lauded silhouettes in the performance-basketball space: the Nike Zoom Freak 2. Recently, the Euro-step-focused model has emerged in a “University Red/Glacier Ice” colorway exclusive to kids.

Mixed-materials uppers are entirely clad in the aforementioned scarlet tone, but are accented by light blue detailing across the profiles and on the tongue. Lateral swooshes indulge in a leather build, while medial counterparts boast an embroidered makeup; pull tabs at the heel opt into an ostensibly neoprene construction. Underfoot, sole units predominantly partake in the pair’s titular hue, but midsole detailing delivers stark contrast reminiscent of the Air Jordan 14 “Black/University Blue” from 2006. Outsoles specifically decoupled for Antetokounmpo’s game introduce a semi-translucent finish into the mix.

Enjoy official images of this kid’s Zoom Freak 2 ahead, and find pairs available on Nike.com come November 9th.
