Bright Volt And University Gold Air Jordan 1s Arriving In Spring 2021

Bright Volt And University Gold Air Jordan 1s Arriving In Spring 2021

Easily in the running for “Best Air Jordan of 2020,” the Air Jordan 1 is slated to have a stellar 2021 as it’s making multiple appearances in the recently-announced Jordan Brand Spring 2021 collection. Instead of original team colors, however, the Peter Moore-designed silhouette is dressing up in a tri-tonal “Volt/University Gold/Sail” color-blocking and a number of experimental accents.

At a glance, the high-top Jordan 1 falls inline with “Black Toe” pairs of the past, but further inspection reveals the sneaker’s stark deviation from that lineage. For starters, bottom heel overlays and ankle flaps indulge in two high-vis tones that seldom appear on Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe; the latter are also foldable and feature a thick black lining. Tongues and their laces keep things simple in a light cream. but the former boast an exposed foam, as well as a reversed tongue label donning a translucent (gelatinous-reminiscent) finish. Other components on the forthcoming retro deliver some semblance of familiarity that when paired with several of the aforementioned details, create a fresh take on a 35-year-old idea.

An official Nike SNKRS release date hasn’t been disclosed yet, but earlier rumors touted January 9th, 2021 as the retro’s launch. In any case, bookmark the Jordan Release Dates calendar for all updates.

Updated December 19th, 2020: The official release date is January 2nd, 2021.
