Jordan Brand Prepares Their First Women’s Exclusive Air Jordan 9 For 2021

Women’s exclusives may have picked up in pace in the past few years, but there are still quite a few silhouettes that haven’t received the same treatment as, say, the Air Jordan 1, the Air Force 1, or the Air Max variant of the month. But with 2021, it seems the Jumpman is further rectifying this as they craft the very first Air Jordan 9 to be presented alongside the brand’s women’s line.

A heartfelt celebration of MJ himself, the pair tells an international story through its graphics and literal languages. Motifs of various kinds are said to dress the sole adjacent to an equally diverse dictionary of script, all part of illustrating the beloved athlete’s impact and influence around the globe. Through color, the upper expresses this less straightforward; natural plant dyes add a vibrant effect to each of the panels in mismatched fashion, creating a somewhat patchwork mosaic of burnt orange, pastel yellow, dark purple, and much more. The construction, which pairs the aforementioned with neutrals of white and navy, then culminates at the heel pull with the offering’s core message: “Change the World.”

Grab a close-up peek at this upcoming AJ9 here and expect it to release alongside the rest of the Jordan Spring 2021 line-up on Nike SNKRS.

In other news, the Air Jordan 4 University Blue was debuted today as well.
