As the adidas Ultra Boost approaches the tail-end of its fifth anniversary, the silhouette is ostensibly upping the experimental ante. For its latest proposition, the Primeknit trainer has dressed up in “Raw Desert” and “Legacy Green”-heavy palettes complemented by matching digital-camouflage patterns on the BOOST midsole.
Although both pairs boast knit patterns from yesteryear, they feature a few non-original details. Profile 3-Stripes indulge in a two-tone arrangement, while tongues host an outdoors-appropriate plastic loop perfect for functional attachments. Heel structures deliver a semi-translucent finish, but they’re overshadowed by the patterned tooling right below them. Shades of “Pale Nude” and “Legend Earth” join the aforementioned tones to create a military garb-reminiscent aesthetic; when paired with the ornamentation on the tongue, the camo creates a style perfect for traversing outside city landscapes.
