The New Balance 992 In Navy Is Dropping On December 1st

Although the New Balance 992 debuted in 2006, the silhouette has garnered unprecedented attention throughout the last few years, thanks in large part to an increase in “normcore” digital moodboards and the “dad shoe” trend indulged by all major players in the sneaker space. Co-signs from savvy enthusiasts have assisted the model in gaining the respect of a newfound audience, but New Balance‘s proposition has also passed the test of time on its own laurels. Why else would Steve Jobs, a design aficionado, have made the sneaker part of his uniform?

Throughout the year, the New Balance 991-successor has appeared in dozens of colorways, both original and experimental, with the former category soon boasting a classic “Navy/Grey” proposition again. The mesh and suede underlays beneath the premium pig suede overlays mostly boast a greyscale arrangement, while the latter opt into a faded dark blue tone. Profile “N” logos maintain their standard reflective makeup, as do “992”-branded accents towards the heel. Underfoot, ABZORB cushioning maintains a tried-and-proven light cream and white palette accompanied by black tread.
