Sneaker News If the prolific arsenal of colorways of sacai’s first LDWaffle is any indication, then we can certainly expect several menu options for their equally tantalizing follow-up. That would be the Nike VaporWaffle, which finally dropped in November in two colorways after understandable delays due to global events, and it now seems that Nike will be more relaxed with the drops because this green/yellow colorway is tentatively scheduled to drop on December 18th.
For the VaporWaffle, the approach of the design is nearly identical to the LDWaffle as it stacks two shoes into one. This model grabs the spirit of the Air Pegasus running shoe from 1983 and infuses DNA of the current-gen VaporFly series, with the most telling detail being the tapered heel rocker. The layered upper features a mix of leather, suede and porous mesh, with black/white tongues and laces adding another point of interest in an already iconoclastic design.
Again, the tentative release date for 12/17 has been set, with an MSRP confirmed for $180. Check out the official images for now and stay tuned for a store list.
