More Vintage Nike Running Delivered With Latest Challenger OG “Gym Red”

At the close of the year, it’s easy to reflect on what each brand had to offer. Nike, among others, reminisced for the better part of 2020, bringing back many a past icon to differing reception. And while the Challenger OG may not have received the same red carpet treatment, it’s revival was certainly well-handled as colorways have sprung up gradually throughout the season.

It’s latest showing, which doesn’t experiment too much with the original form, colors the majority of the construction in Gym Red. Suede, mesh, and nylon panels are all dyed the same, wrapping the overlays, toe box, and side profile, respectively. Over top, white leathers dress the enlarged Swoosh, matching the less robust lace unit fixture. Below, the pair finishes with a gum sole and trim, completing a subtle and unaged nod to vintage.

Grab a detailed look at this upcoming Challenger here, and as they’ve already launched in Korea, it shouldn’t too long a wait for its stateside Nike.com release.

If you’re looking for something a bit more modern, the Core White adidas Ultra 4D releases next week.
