Where To Buy The sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Villain Red”

Chitose Abe has cemented herself as a figure to look out for within the sportswear space thanks to her highly-regarded projects with NIKE, Inc. via her sacai label. On December 17th, the Japanese designer is treating sneaker enthusiasts to the Nike Vaporwaffle in a “String/Black/Villain Red/Neptune Green” colorway.

Much more animated than the silhouette’s launch propositions, the forthcoming pair boasts an ultra-breathable base clad in a cream tone that appeared on the Air Fear of God 1 back in February. As the sneaker’s unofficial moniker suggests, however, “Villain Red” steals the spotlight, taking over suede, leather and synthetic overlays throughout the upper; lace guards deliver further flair with their “Neptune Green” arrangement. sacai’s signature double-layered aesthetic joins the mix via the lateral profile swooshes, laces, tongues and midsole tooling. Underfoot, tread proffers some semblance of familiarity while simultaneously nodding to the Swoosh’s performance-running legacy with its partial waffle-pattern.

Enjoy official images of sacai’s Vaporwaffle “Villain Red” here below, as you wait to secure your pair at select retailers globally on December 17th and via Nike SNKRS on December 22nd.
