Pharrell Williams and NIGO aren’t strangers. And while the two mavericks have collaborated on projects throughout their decades-spanning friendship, they’re helping their adidas family close out 2020 with a four-piece collection, which includes the newly-launched Tokio Solar Hu and Chancletas Hu.
As the joint-effort derives from two of the most influential, eccentric minds in streetwear, the forthcoming capsule is anything but understated. Split into two color palettes, the tamer duo indulges in a “Green Tint” base complemented by shades of “Pale Nude,” “Light Orchid” and “Night Navy.” By contrast, the accompanying BOOST-cushioned option and slides feature a high-vis orange tone reminiscent of some of Williams’ previous propositions for the Three Stripes. The Chancletas Hu sports the citrus hue as more of an after-thought, boasting a mostly-“Clay Brown” arrangement.
The Pharrell x NIGO x adidas footwear capsule arrives to adidas.com on December 18th with pricing ranging from $100 USD to $180 USD.
