Throughout 2020, ASICS has been focused on celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic GEL-Lyte III, releasing impressive solo and collaborative efforts. Away from the split-tongue silhouette, the Japanese institution has spread attention to other GEL-cushioned models, including the GEL-Kayano 14.
Constructed from mesh and synthetic overlays, uppers on the two latest releases features a “White” and metallic silver palette. Detailing across the tongue and heel deviate from their understated surroundings in favor of either “Pure Gold” or “Classic Red” arrangements. Exposed GEL-cushioning visible throughout the midsole further indulge in its pair’s titular hue, which rounds out the sneakers’ retro aesthetic.
