Converse Enters The Upcoming “Roswell Rayguns” Collection With The Chuck 70 And Pro Leather

With roots dating back to the early 2000s, The Roswell Rayguns basketball team garnered a large fanbase with TV commercial spots and their own Nike sneakers, including several pairs of the SB Dunk Low—all while being fictional. The beloved aliens have now returned to Earth for another footwear collection featuring Converse’s Pro Leather and Chuck 70.

As a subsidiary of Nike, Converse joins the Roswell Rayguns collection alongside its parent company’s models such as the Air Raid and Kyrie 7. The Pro Leather pair sees black uppers that are interrupted by Rayguns-colored elements. The lateral side is marked with Converse’s signature star chevron logo appropriately colored in gold and the green Rayguns basketball logo printed near the heel. Furthering the team spirit, a gold and red stripe stretches across the medial side. This stripe of colors also wraps the front of the white leather Chuck 70’s sole unit. The classic All-Star patch on this pair is swapped out for the same green logo seen on the aforementioned model. However, a Rayguns-themed version of the All-Star logo can be found on the medial side, above a team-colored thunderbolt graphic.

The Pro Leather and Chuck 70 will be available at Converse.com on January 15 for $85 and $95, respectively.
