The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Light Army” Features A Brushed-Bronzed Look

Given how dominant a year the Air Jordan 1 had, it’s no surprise that NIKE, Inc. is planning dozens of new colorways of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker for 2021. Among those propositions, a “Black/Light Army/Sail/Fresh Mint” option proffers an experimental brushed-bronze look.

At a glance, the forthcoming pair resembles the silhouette’s now-beloved “Shadow” ensemble: “Black” takes over the toe-box, midfoot and collar panels, and “AIR JORDAN” branding on the lateral ankle flap, while a grey suede makes up bottom heel overlays and aforementioned ankle flaps. Profile swooshes, lace guards and panels around the forefoot, however, deviate from a greyscale palette in favor of a shimmering brown makeup. While the full scope of these overlays’ versatility has yet to be seen, it’s likely the design detail will make this Jordan 1 one of the most unconventional high-tops of 2021.

Enjoy a first-look at the retro here below, and expect pairs to arrive to Nike SNKRS within the next 365 days.

Updated January 7th, 2021: The US release date is tentatively set for March 10th, 2021.
