Sneaker News Nike perfected a formula with the Epic React. Combining a lockdown Flyknit upper and a responsive cushioning platform, the Epic React quickly became a top choice for casual runners looking for a stylish and effect way to pound some miles/kilometers in. In late 2019, Nike fine-tuned that package while focusing on preventing injury, delivering the Infinity React Run. For that particular shoe, the Nike engineering team subject the Infinity React to a unique running epidemiology study by the British Columbia Sports Medicine Research Foundation and found that injury occurrences were cut in half in comparison to the Structure Triax 22. Simply put, there was much proven about the effectiveness of the Infinity React Run.
Nike follows up the much lauded original with the Infinity React Run 2, introducing a modified Flyknit upper that supports more strength at the toe, eye-stay, and foxing. Added breathability and a more plush ankle liner are welcome upgrades as well. Long distance runner Vanessa Fraser notes that the new shoe is “an improvement from the first version.”
Nike has officially announced a global release date of January 7th, 2021, with a wider drop at big retailers confirmed for January 14th. Various colorways are confirmed to be part of the launch, so check out what’s coming below.
