More Fishing-Themed Colorways Appear On The Nike PG 5

Paul George has been averaging 25 points per game in the 2020-21 NBA season thus far, but he isn’t only scoring on-court. Ahead of the Nike PG 5’s official retail launch, the Palmdale, CA-born forward has brought his love of fishing to his latest signature sneaker.

As other offerings under his Swoosh-backed line, the forthcoming pair indulges in both covert and overt nods to the sport. The mixed-materials upper boasts an eye-catching turquoise tone that animates scale and net-like detailing throughout the forefoot, midfoot and heel. Profile swooshes don an ostensibly light pink hue, while surrounding branding opts for a faint silver tone (“PG” logos on the tongue are accompanied by a water drop graphic). Underfoot, the multi-directional tread also partakes in a water-reminiscent color, although less vibrant than the shade that takes over the upper on the PG 4‘s successor.

No official Nike.com launch details are known, but it’s likely this basketball-ready option arrives around spring. While you wait, enjoy a look at the shoes here below.
