Noon Goons Upgrades Vault By Vans Classics With Luxurious Materials

Noon Goons, the California-based label that bridges surf, punk, and hip-hop influences, is soon to receive their first footwear collaboration thanks to Vault By Vans. Somewhat of a dream come true, the capsule channels the nostalgia of founder Kurt Narmore and creative director Sam Jarou, whose passion for the Anaheim institution stems far, far back.

“I grew up wearing Vans, and all of my friends surf for them,” stated Narmore. “As a brand, we are so deep in Southern California culture. We knew that if we ever did shoes, it would have to be with Vans.”

Comprised of three different silhouettes, the capsule effectively takes the duo’s past favorites and flips them with luxury in mind. The Sk8-Hi, the proposed “anchor,” sets the tone in snakeskin-embossed leathers, a subtle touch that’s easy to miss next to the contrasted Jazz Stripes and emboldened “Noon Goons” embroidery. A stark departure, the accompanying Style 36 reverses the colorway but leaves all the visual touches. Slip-Ons, then, complete the set, boasting a navy velvet exterior that’s paired with leopard insoles and blacked out profiles.
