Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Zoom Freak 3 To Feature A Strap

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Zoom Freak 3 To Feature A Strap

If the first two chapters are any indication, then Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Zoom Freak 3 signature shoe will likely release in July 2021. This first look at the Greek Freak’s third shoe reveals a swift change from the prior to models as Nike continues to toy with the Swoosh logo placement. The first model established a daring approach by completely reversing the oversized check, while the sequel return the logo to a more standard position. This first look at the Zoom Freak 3 reverts to its inverted form while going through a bit of a dimensional reduction  as it sits under the ankle.

On a structural standpoint, Nike adds a mid-foot strap for the first time, suggesting the importance of additional lockdown for Giannis’ multi-directional and explosive game. The cushioning package isn’t entirely revealed in this leaked image, although the emphasis at the forefoot via the external piece suggests forefoot Zoom Air. The outsole is also possibly decoupled to fit the needs of Giannis’ Eurostep power move.

Nike is likely to make an official announcement for the Zoom Freak 3 in July should it choose to stick with their annual release calendar. Until then, soak in this first look at the newest Giannis shoes and expect more colorways to be revealed as we near July.
