After making its official comeback on April 8th, the Nike Air Max 96 II quickly grew quiet. But after the reveal of a USA-themed pair, things have finally started to pick up as the model is soon to celebrate its 25th anniversary. And there’s no better a way to celebrate than with the return of the beloved “Mystic Teal” colorway.
Unveiled in detail thanks to official images, the pair is a near exact replica of its inspiration in color. The titular blue accents mark the side Swoosh and adjacent branding all the same, while white shades dress the mesh underneath as well as the leather overlays atop. Even the Air units themselves proffer a cool-toned finish, complementing each of the aforementioned pops. Black panels, then, finish along the counter, mudguard, and toe, the latter made of leather instead instead of the original suede.
