While not completely dormant over the last 30 years, the Nike Air Mowabb hasn’t broken through mainstream consciousness yet. Help from COMME des GARÇONS and Olivia Kim have brought attention to the outdoors-ready silhouette, but soon, the model will call attention to itself on its on via the return of its original “Birch” colorway.
First seen in 1991, the design effectively combines the Nike Air Huarache with Nike ACG DNA for a proposition that’s lightweight and supportive. The pair’s mixed-materials upper divvies up a “Birch/Bright Mandarin/Hyper Royal/Rattan” color palette, with most of the upper indulging in an understated beige tone. Neoprene construction at the tongue and collar deliver a vibrant New York Knicks-friendly arrangement, while heel components opt into a heavy black look. Underfoot, the sole unit further introduces dark colors into the mix, with the midsole featuring a white speckled pattern. Accents across the outsole revert to the eye-catching “Bright Mandarin” and “Hyper Royal” combination seen throughout the upper.
Enjoy detailed images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch soon.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 1 Low has recently emerged in a handful of compelling styles.
