Concepts Uses The New Balance 57/40 To Celebrate 1920s Silent Film “Headin’ Home”

Concepts Uses The New Balance 57/40 To Celebrate 1920s Silent Film “Headin’ Home”

In honor of their 25th anniversary, Concepts has linked up with many of the sneaker world’s finest, further bolstering their on-going collaborative series. Soon, the retailer will rejoin their neighbor New Balance to craft a love letter to not only baseball but also the 1920s silent film “Headin’ Home.”

Same-named, the capsule spans apparel as well as footwear, each piece a thoughtful exploration of the rivalry between Boston and New York. And while the aforementioned movie may have been a flop, it was undoubtedly ahead of its time and lives on today by way of the 57/40‘s color palette. Pale orange hues meet brighter, bolder counterparts adjacent, while cream and white neutrals fill in the blanks along the base and midsole, respectively. What’s more, waxy “N” logos aid the connection to the sport, reminding long-time fans of opening up a pack of baseball cards.

Completed with a special box and lanyard, the 57/40 is due to hit cncpts.com on August 27th.

In other news, the Air Jordan 36 First Light lands first thing this September.
