Jovani Hernandez The New Balance 991 has been celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout 2021. As part of its milestone-related festivities, the silhouette has appeared in handfuls of general and special releases. For its latest proposition, the pair has indulged in an autumn-friendly brown ensemble.
Premium pig suede overlays atop the model’s tried-and-proven mesh bases boast a deep shade of the aforementioned tone, while underlays opt for either dark navy or standard New Balance grey. Profile “N” logos and tongues also favor the brand’s favorite color, taking over ABZORB cushioning at the heel and forefoot. The remainder of the sole unit is split between a pristine white tone and a slightly-yellowed makeup that further plays into the model’s “dad shoe” aesthetic.
