Michael Le To help kickstart the beginning of 2022, Reebok has enlisted the help of A BATHING APE, commissioning the beloved streetwear label for two collaborative pieces of footwear. And while we’ve seen the two work together in the past, this upcoming release marks their very first Instapump Fury (and third Club C).
The latter doesn’t stray far from its simple, oft-lauded form. White leathers make up the brunt of the construction as is typical; its stitching, though, is not quite as standard, sewing every panel together with bright blue and red threads. Branding, too, is given a makeover, with the sides alternating between BAPE’s STA logo and Reebok’s text/Union Jack.
By comparison, the accompanying Instapump Fury is worlds apart thanks to both its color and patterns. The Japanese legend’s iconic ABC Camo is spread throughout the bladder and mesh panels, quickly switching between green, purple, orange, and blue dominant palettes. “BAPE STA” embroideries, then, embellish the heel in complement to the BAPE head that dresses the pump itself.
