The adidas Forum ’84 Hi Presents A Realistic “Vintage” Make-Up

Vintage as a design concept is certainly nothing new. Nike, for example, has employed aged colorways throughout the past few decades, indoctrinating silhouettes like the Dunk High and Dunk Low into the “Vintage Pack.” But where this adidas Forum ’84 Hi sets itself apart is in its sense of realism, opting to distress its upper in the image of pairs long-forgotten.

The colorway only creates a deeper sense of immersion, its whites and blues relatively faithful to one of the silhouette’s OGs. And over top these colored and color-bereft leathers lies scuffs, scratches, and various marks, each proffering a yellow shade like that of an antique. The midsole and outsole receive the same execution to a more dramatic degree, both deceptively worn and dusty across their entire exteriors.

In other news, a Neutral Grey New Balance 550 is coming soon.
