Bodega‘s strength lies in their creative direction, as the boutique adds a layer of artistry to everything from their retail space to their marketing collateral. And this rings especially true with their footwear collaborations, a catalog soon to welcome the underrated ASICS GEL-MC PLUS.
For this season, Bodega and ASICS are paying homage to Spring — its clear blues skies, lush green grass, and sunny weather. These colors cascade along the upper and accents of the above-mentioned silhouette, dressing what would otherwise be a grey-dominant colorway. And while said base may not lack the punch of the adjacent Tiger Stripe and vibrant paneling, it makes up for it with a number of different textures.
The pair comes complete with Bodega branding across both the medial and sockliner, the latter of which touts “15 Years” in celebration of the storefront’s big milestone. Additional logos mark the packaging as well as the included keychain.
