This split-tongued runner once had a unflinching chokehold on the sneaker game as their various collaborations with boutiques across the globe were atop the most-wanted lists of footwear. Things have cooled off considerably for the GEL-Lyte III, but recent drops with Sneaker Politics and the earlier release with Concepts gives us hope that the popular running retro makes a comeback.
For now, we’ll have to give the general release drops a chance, and honestly speaking, a lot of the inline drops have been solid. This newly available colorway of Smoke Grey and Putty combines all the soft neutrals and faded pinks that are simply faultless on retro runners. This particular pair has GTX protection; the pro is the added protection, but the con is heightened MSRP of $170.
