The Packer Shoes x Saucony Jazz ’81 Comes “From A Magical Place”

Packer Shoes has maintained a relatively low profile since spring when it launched its Prada-inspired collaboration with Reebok. As the end of 2022 inches closer, the tri-state institution has prepped a two-pair drop with Saucony to help celebrate the Jazz ’81‘s 40th anniversary.

Clad in a simple cream tone that allows for titular “Mountain View” and “Coriander” hues to animate the decades-old design, Packer Shoes’ upcoming offerings argue that the “best jazz comes from a magical place.” As such, the now-New Jersey-based boutique outfits the ’80s silhouette in straightforward ensembles that feel both heritage-driven and modern. Off-white midsoles inject an “aged” aesthetic into the sneakers, while branding hits are kept retro on both the top of the tongue and sock-liners. Spines maintain their reflective finish, harkening back to the Jazz’s function-first design approach. Together, each aforementioned component helps create an arrangement sure to be a reference point in the 40-year-old model’s release catalog.

Enjoy campaign imagery of the collaboration ahead, and find the duo launching via packershoes.com on Friday, November 11th, for $110 USD each pair.
