Nike’s Next React Shoe Is Water-Resistant

Nike’s Next React Shoe Is Water-Resistant

Running outdoors in the colder, wetter months can be an arduous task. Finding a solid footing can be challenging, and dealing with wet shoes is the biggest burden of all for any avid runner. Thankfully, Nike’s Shield pack is perfect for running in any less-than-optimal-conditions. Featuring taped seams on the upper to ensure water resistance and a slightly thicker construction for warmth, Shield ensures that you can keep on pounding the pavement no matter what the conditions may be. The latest shoe to receive a durable Shield makeover is the Odyssey React — a non-Flyknit version of the Epic React — and it’s arriving in a clean combo of white, grey, black, and navy with a toggle. The upper features a four-piece design, with white on the toebox, toggle lacing system, and throat giving way to a speckled grey midfoot, which then secedes to dark black taping before finishing with a navy heel cage. The cushy React midsole is dressed in a black, and bright mint green accents provide a pop of color and a slight nod to warmer days. Need a winter running shoe? This new Odyssey React Shield is set to release on Nike.com October 11th, just in time for the change of seasons.
