New Balance To Celebrate “Grey Day” On March 15th

After a re-launch of the iconic 574 silhouette, New Balance is ready to present its next great checkpoint of 2018 with “Grey Day”, a global celebration of the brand’s most iconic color palette. The brand broke serious ground in the early 1980s by introducing the first-ever $100 running shoe with the timeless 990 model, and furthered cemented their statement by releasing it in a grey-centric color palette in an effort to go against the grain of bright neons that were saturating the running shoe market. New Balance is honoring that legacy with “Grey Day” on Thursday, March 15th, and the 574 is poised to play a big role in this celebration.

New Balance has positioned the 574 as the chief prize of “Grey Day” with some distinct colorways. The “Legacy of Grey” edition of the 574 inspired by the original colorway of the 990, but it won’t stop there; they’re also honoring the iconic grey/blue theme from the New Balance 1300JP by imposing it onto the 574, while a “Classic Grey” theme makes its way onto the casual shoe as well.

New Balance “Grey Day” is this Thursday, March 15th, so check out the sneaker releases as well as the teaser video below.
