Converse Unveils 2019 Black History Month Collection

Converse Unveils 2019 Black History Month Collection

As an important part of the greater Nike corporate umbrella, Converse has joined Nike and Jordan Brand’s extensive 2019 BHM collection with a two-pack of new takes on one of their most popular sneakers — the Chuck 70. Both pairs call upon the BHM collection’s traditional teal, yellow, and magenta textile print, but utilize it in vastly different fashions. One pair completely covers the canvas upper in the print, while using a glossy black toe/midsole for contrast. The other pair opts to use the print more sparingly, offering colorful panels on the heel, collar, and toebox while offsetting the colorful details with a sultry black midfoot/tongue and a white midsole with black striped detailing. Each shoe is then completed with custom yellow BHM embroidery on the tongue and a yellow outsole. An official Nike SNKRS release date has not yet been announced, but you can expect these Chucks to drop this February — and be sure to check out the Nike BHM and Jordan BHM collections as well while you wait.
