The Nike Air Max 97 Goes Completely Gold

The Nike Air Max 97 Goes Completely Gold

The releases of Nike’s Air Max 97 have been quite intriguing lately as each week, the classic silhouette has made a commendable effort in emerging with unique colors, materials, and themes than we’re not normally accustomed to seeing. Some of the alterations in nuances have come about via grassy uppers appropriate for the golf course, a five piece collection nodding to the upcoming Olympic Rings logo, and even an offering representative of America’s pastime that features baseball diamond graphics on the insoles. And now, it look as though this interesting streak of new variations is continuing as the Sportswear runner has now popped up once again in a brand new colorway that carries a different level of metallic personality. Deviating itself from the popular “Metallic Gold” and Swarovski renditions that have previously released, this updated offering takes the word “shiny” to new heights as its entire being from the uppers to the midsole to the treading is coated in full gold that makes us think Austin Powers’ Goldmember was responsible for heading up this design. Another feature to point out is that the Swoosh logos located on the tongues and mid-foot that are usually embroidered get swapped out for a slightly hollow and debossed look. Official shots of the pair are available here below, so take a closer look and expect these to be dropping on Nike.com in the coming weeks.
