Official Images Of The Nike Air Max 1 “Inside Out”

Nike’s done just about everything you can imagine to the Air Max 1 in its three decades-plus on the market, but now they’re taking Tinker Hatfield‘s original “inside out” inspiration drawn from Paris’s Centre Pompidou a step further with this new fully flipped makeup. Boasting a color palette that’s unmistakably Tom Sachs-esque, these Nike shoes use vintage golden brown tones as a base, while soft shades of grey and tan appear on the everted toebox, quarter, throat, and heel. Bold red stitching and laces then accent the transposed innards, while a red Air Max unit offers another vibrant touch down below, contrasting with the while midsole and white/gum outsole. A static-y midfoot Swoosh, inverse heel hits, and a visible size tag on the foam tongue add just enough alternate branded flair. A clever nod to one of the Swoosh Brand’s best design stories combined with a colorway that’s perfect for today’s sneaker climate, these inside-out AM1s are sure to be a hit when they arrive on Nike.com in the coming weeks, so grab a look at a full set of official images below while you wait.
