Air Jordan 12 “International Flight” References MJ’s Trips To Tokyo

The rollout of Jordan’s “International Flight” pack for summer and fall continues, as after a Jordan 3 inspired by a 1988 charity game, we now have a look at a Jordan 12 that was inspired by a 1996 trip MJ made to Tokyo for a basketball clinic. The Jordan 12s have always had a connection to Japanese culture owing to their “rising sun” inspired paneling, and this commemorative iteration features an elegant navy blue upper with an embossed kimono print that nods to classic Japanese garment patterns. Two silver lace loops appear for an extra pop of stately detailing, while a white mudguard offers contrast. Further Japanese-centric graphics arrive on the rear of the shoe, as “Jordan” is spelled out in kanji characters on the heel tab. The shoe is completed with a white and blue midsole and blue/red outsole. Look for the “International Flight” Jordan 12 to release September 8th on Nike.com and at Jordan stockists, and retail for $190 USD.
