Nike Presents The Air Max 270 G Shield For Rainy Day Golf

Since launching almost three years ago, the Nike Air Max 270 has topped North America’s “Best-Selling Sneaker” list (2019) and seen a collaboration with Travis Scott. And while its versatility has allowed it to remain a staple within the lifestyle market, it’s also enabled it to be adopted on the golf course. Recently, the Swoosh has launched a weatherized iteration of the spiked-model for rainy-day golf.

While not entirely understated, the inaugural Air Max 270 G Shield is much more tame than previous non-weatherized releases. “Black/White” take over the majority of the pair’s water-repellent shroud and overlays, as well as rubberized mudguard. Two “Team Orange” ergonomically-shaped zippers beside the tongue, however, interrupts the monochromatic color scheme. Swooshes and reflective accents throughout the upper deliver personality to the model, which dons a “NO BAD WEATHER JUST GOLF” message on the lateral midfoot. Sole units boast a plump Air Max unit at the heel, and feature a traction arrangement specifically designed for both enhanced grip in sloppy conditions and rotational movements.

Enjoy official images of the pair, which comes with two-year waterproof warranty, here below, and find pairs available now on both the after-market and Nike UK.

For more from NIKE, Inc., the Air Jordan 4 is rumored to launch in golf-ready proposals throughout 2021.
