First Look At The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Day Of The Dead”

First Look At The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Day Of The Dead”

From sugar skulls to face paint and flamboyant outfits, Mexico’s annual Day Of The Dead festivities offer a great deal of striking iconography, and Nike is drawing from that recognizable look for inspiration on a brand-new Air Force 1 Low. These “Day Of The Dead”-inspired Air Force 1s may appear to be a somewhat simple white low-top with colorful yellow, blue, pink, and green piping upon first glance, but closer inspection reveals their signature detail: there’s an ever-so-faint repeating skull print on the mudguard, towards the rear, and on the midfoot Swoosh. This print is then blown up and presented in vivid pink on the insole, while more special pink graphics also grace the tongue. A black logo-equipped heel tab, bronze lace deubre, and white midsole with black accents then complete the look. A compelling celebration of culture, these Nike shoes will hit Nike.com in the coming months, likely around the celebration itself — which runs from October 31st to November 2nd. Check out a full set of official images directly below, and expect them to roll out on October 25th.
